Bringing Sexy Back

Joseph was dancing around half-naked before bed tonight and he was asked jokingly "are you a sexy boy?". Abbey turned around with a big smile on her face and said "if you take the y off the word you just said you get that word".

With a dumb look on our faces we said "What word?"

"You know? S - E - X", she spelled out.

"What does that mean?"

"I don't know."

"So where have you heard that word before?"

"At school. Some of the people spell it out so that everyone else doesn't know what they are talking about".

"But do they know what it means?'

"er ... no".

End of conversation.

A year or so back, Abbey did read the word (you know, S - E - X) on Fox digital news while I was skimming through some news stories. She asked what it was and I was proud of my quick answer: "it means whether you are male or female". If I had been really good I would have said "ask your mother".
